The actual assignment is an argument from definition essay– students should make an argument from definition: to argue about the definition of a concept, term, phenomenon or object and offer proof why or why not this concept, term, phenomenon or object meets the criteria for this definition, as explained and argued by the author.
You will need to establish the criteria for this definition and make sure your evidence or proof meets these criteria. At least one outside source must be used. You may use either MLA or APA.
