Examining an article for use as evidence

Examining an article for use as evidence

Topic 3 DQ 2

A good analysis of the articles. When examining an article for use as evidence, questions such as the method used in the study itself, its corrections, and the need for evidence can be important. It is important to use only articles that use the right method (Pyrczak & TcherniBuzzeo, 2018). For example, sample selection should be sufficiently randomized to reduce the possibility of bias. It is important to ensure that the results of the study are applicable by assessing whether the researcher has actually measured the factors to be measured. Evidence used in nursing education and practice needs to be obtained from reliable sources and examined for validity, accuracy, and bias. EBP should only use articles that contain appropriate scientific methods or have a good reputation.

Name two different methods for evaluating evidence. Compare and contrast these two methods.
