MyDietAnalysis (MDA) Part 2

Instructions:

For the second part of the this project you using the food recalls and activity from the MDA Part 1 and entering them into the MyDietAnalysis program. MyDietAnalysis is required for this assignment. The software can be purchased as a CD or may be purchased for online use.

Basic instructions for the data entry is below. The MDA program has an excellent “help” function that guides you through this process.

  • Purchase MyDietAnalysis program ( MyDietAnalysis.com (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.)
  • Install/AccessMyDietAnalysissoftware on your computer and setup a personal profile. Software may be purchased at mydietanalysis.com.
  • Click on “Diet Tracker”. Using your 3-day food logs, enter each day of intake. Name each day of intake by entering the day and date. Enter each item by using the “Search feature”. If you cannot find the exact food that you ate under the list of foods, find a food similar to the one that you ate.
  • Click on “Track Activity” and enter your exercise/activity information. Again, you will be entering three different days worth, so make sure they match the days that you entered for your diet.
  • Save/create a pdf of the following reports
    • Actual vs. Recommended Intakes (3 Day Average) Make sure all three days are checked (√ ) to get this report
    • Energy Balance (3 Day Average) Make sure all three days are checked (√ ) to get this report
    • Energy Balance (One report for each day – total of 3 reports) Make sure only the day you want to report is checked (√ ).
    • Calorie and Fat Sources (3 Day Average) Make sure all three days are checked (√ ) to get this report
    • Calorie and Fat Sources (One report for each day – total of 3 reports) Make sure only the day you want to report is checked (√ ).
    • Recommendations (3 Day Average) Make sure all three days are checked (√ ) to get this report
  • Submit your reports:
    • You can attach your reports as a pdf files when submitting this assignment
    • If you have the Mastering version of the course book, you can submit them through the program.
