Political Science 101 Essay
This course has explored the constitutional, historical, political and cultural development of the United States, the institutions (Congress, presidency, courts) of the country and the complex political and policy process by which decisions are made and implemented.
FINAL ESSAY:
From what you have learned as well as you general knowledge, please evaluate the status of the American governmental and political system. What works well and what does not work well? If you were given the responsibility, what would you maintain (Keep as it is) and what would you change? How would your proposed changes improve the quality of government and the services it provides the people? Did the 2012 presidential election as well as the 2016 presidential election contribute to moving the country toward a more efficient political and governmental system? Did the 2018 elections which gave the Democrats control of the House of Representatives change the dynamics of Washington?? Does Washington “work” well or does it need improvement to better serve the interests of the American people?
There is no right or wrong answer. Please be as creative as you wish. You will be evaluated on the substance of your presentation as well as the ideas and proposals you incorporate into your essay.
