Program Evaluation Plan and Organization Progress Assignment

Program Evaluation Plan and Organization Progress Assignment

Purpose: For this step in in the strategic planning process you will create a program evaluation plan. Given the challenges you have identified in your SWOT/C analysis, you will develop a program evaluation plan that will allow your selected organization to evaluate progress over time in addressing the stated goals of your analysis.

Requirements: You will create a 5-7 page program evaluation document. This document should include each of the following sections described below. Remember, you are to fully describe the details associated with each section based on the stated plans from your SWOT/C analysis. Information and examples regarding each section of the program analysis can be found in the course readings from module 4 and 5.

Program Evaluation Paper Sections:

  1. Introduction: 2-3 paragraphs that give background on the work and how it is important and connected with your previous SWOT/C analysis
  2. Purpose of the Evaluation: 1-2 paragraphs that explain the specific goals of the evaluation and the overall purpose in terms of the larger strategic plan.
  3. Stakeholders involved: 2-3 paragraphs that provide an account of the relevant stakeholders in the organization and how each will be leveraged in this evaluation.
  4. Questions to be answered: This section will include the specific set of questions you aim to answer over the course of the evaluation.
  5. Data Collection: 4-5 paragraphs that detail all of the data that will need to be collected in order to answer the questions. This section should include how the data will be collected and by whom, any sampling techniques you are using and why, any ethical issues associated with the data that need to be addressed, and how you plan to safely store and deidentify the data.
  6. Data Analysis: 2-4 paragraphs on how you will analyze the data. You need to provide details of the actually work that will be done. What statistical analysis will be completed? What type of qualitative analysis will you do? Again, this section needs to fully detail to the reader how this work will be completed.
  7. Evaluation Timeline: 1-2 paragraphs that explain the timeline for the evaluation. You should make clear connections with ideas you have presented in the data collection section and build a justification for how long the work should take.
  8. Budget: 2-3 paragraphs that build on the previous sections of the paper to explain the costs associated with conducting this work.
  9. Reporting the Results: 3-4 paragraphs that explain how you intend to report the results of the study. Who will be the stakeholders that will do the reporting and who will be receiving the report. Will you create presentations or will it be a written document? Why?
