Janessa Valez- B. Fast-food restaurant

By the term fast-food also called quick-service, a customer of a fast-food restaurant is any person who is demanding for a product that will satisfy his/her needs in a short period of time. An example of this restaurant is McDonald where a hungry person of any age can easily grab something to eat to fulfill his/her hunger for the cheapest price.

The services offered by fast-foods are easy and quick from walk in ordering or drive-thru as well as self-ordering through the tablet provided on some restaurants such as McDonald. The most common products provided are burgers with fries, sandwiches, chicken nuggets, pizza, fried fish with chips along with sodas or teas, and many more.

Suppliers of a restaurant varies depends on the product being offered. There are restaurants that carry Coca-Cola products while some has Pepsi products. Other supplies including packaging, cleaning supplies, napkins, ketchup mostly Heinz, employee uniforms, and so on.

Every restaurant starts with greeting process then taking the order. After ordering, the cashier takes the payment, and the customer will wait for their orders to be called. Orders will appear to the kitchen’s screen, and will be make at the time it was received. For walk ins, they will pick their table then throw their own trash after eating. An employee will then clean the table for the next customer. For to go ordering, customers will wait close to the counter for their order to be called then leave the building. In the drive-thru, order is taken, then ask to proceed to the next window for payment, then the following window is where the food is being received.

Joshua Arcilesi-

Hello Janessa,

I think you accurately summarized the process flows for a typical fast food restaurant. McDonalds is a great example of an average fast food restaurant as well. I think you had a perfect description of the typical fast food experience especially for a place like McDonalds. Great post!
