Journal Entry 1.1: I’d like you to consider your behavior as a consumer of news media. How informed do you feel? Where do you get your news? You may have covered this a bit in our second entry, but go deeper. Social media is a relatively recent phenomenon. Why do you think it is so popular? What sorts of effects do you think it has on you and those you know? What effects do you see on a larger (national, societal) scale? Is it a force for good, for ill, or both, and why?
