Hillsborough Conservative Feminist Position And Christianity Discussion
I am doing a debate in my Ethics class about Feminism. Radical Feminists vs Conservative Feminists and I am in the Conservative side and I need help on how to respond to this question
4. The feminist position seems to conflict with the creation story given in the bible – as a result, feminists published a version of the bible called, The Woman’s Bible, by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, which employs a number of controversial biblical interpretations – such as the claim that the Trinity is composed of the “heavenly father, mother, and son” and the claim that the Bible originally contained two creation stories – one in which Eve was created from the rib of man, and one in which Adam and Eve were created simultaneously.
(For Conservative Feminists)
Does this position amount to a rejection of Christianity?
