Activity Directions:

During the 2019 legislative session a bill was passed and signed into law to provide that first responders would be eligible for workman’s compensation for PTSD. Below is the Statement of Purpose of the legislation. Here is a link to the actual working within the legislation

Activity Directions:

1. Read the full text of the bill and the summary.

2. Address the following questions in your initial post to the Discussion Board.

a. How difficult do you believe it will be to meet the criteria outlined within the law for compensation.

b. What are your thoughts on the exclusions from coverage.

c. Do you believe the list of those covered is adequate or should more people be listed?

d. The bill has a sunset clause – do you believe such a provision should be voided after 4 years?
