Peacekeeping UN Autobiography
Before you begin, note that this forum tracks with PowerPoint presentation due in Week 5: Your biography needs to deal with ambassadors to the UN, to the Secretary General of the UN or anyone who has done some sort of work for the UN.
It is your choice but the person has to be tied to the United Nations. Do a literature review to find an interesting official, starting with your textbooks to find preliminary information about the person. (Remember not to use Wikipedia, encyclopedias, history.com, etc. Focus on scholarly sources found in the journal databases of our library.) Check the Assignment folder for full details of this assignment due in Week 5.
What is due in in Week 1: Provide a short paragraph (about 350 words) to explain what you think is interesting about the individual you’ve selected. Present what you hope to learn about this individual that puzzles you. Provide 3 peer-reviewed journal articles that discuss either the individual or the work or issue he/she was involved in at the UN. Integrate the sources into your post using Turabian Author-Date style in-text citations and a References List.
