While it is tantalizing to entertain a world in which witches and other supernatural beings exist, historical reality points us to a much more nefarious aspect of times when people and even animals were accused of and prosecuted for witchcraft.
One of the most disturbing aspects of this historical event is that the spiritual leaders and the town’s people of influence, abused their power and authority for personal gain. Consider the information revealed in the historical documents, the contemporary articles and the documentary. In your initial response, present your reactions and responses to the documents.
